Have you ever thought about how many ridiculously EASY cake/brownie mix recipes there are? I never did until I became obsessed! entered the wonderful world of Pinterest.
There are lots of amazing and yet SIMPLE recipes online. To date I have only tested out two recipes and to my surprise they were not only EASY but absolutely DELICIOUS. Both cakes were a HUGE hit at my party.
For the first time in a while I decided against purchasing a bakery cake. Instead… I was determined to find the perfect cake recipe for my daughters birthday. At the very last minute I decided to make TWO cakes. It only made sense to make one vanilla and one chocolate cake, especially with the big crowd we were having. I just assumed that I would make both cakes from scratch. It was only until I started researching online that I came across cake mix recipes.
Last years bakery cake was Dora the Explora.
For some reason I had it stuck in my head that I needed to find the perfect white wedding cake recipe. It’s not every day your princess turns FIVE! I also wanted to find a delicious and yet moist chocolate cake recipe.
I was thrilled when I finally found two recipes. It was even better that they were very EASY since I didn’t start my cooking until 10:00 pm the night before the party. Ughhh…

The first picture is the chocolate cake recipe. My cake looked nothing like the picture but it was delicious. Two special ingredients in this recipe: 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix & sour cream.
The second picture is the white wedding cake and it was my favorite. I think it’s the 4 large egg whites that made it so good. I’ve made the white wedding cake many times since the party. It is the perfect white wedding cake recipe.
